The pay is frankly unacceptable a starting FA is taking home paychecks of around $600, which is barely livable given the demands of the job. The benefits are outrageously expensive, making an already low paycheck feel even worse. There’s absolutely no sense of pride or support from the company, and morale is extremely low.
The training process feels less like professional development and more like hazing. Instructors are openly disrespectful, intimidating, and treat trainees terribly instead of preparing them to succeed. For the level of responsibility and stress involved, the compensation and treatment are completely out of touch. To put it into perspective, a starting employee at McDonald’s can make more money while dealing with far less pressure and hostility.
