Pros
I have submitted my CV through their global HR platform, waited two days while trying to find some sort of personal connection to a current employee, making sure that my CV gets into the right hands. Did it read well, LinkedIn was a huge help. After finding out who the HR director was, sent a message to him via LinkedIn and had my first Skype interview the day or two after. Had 4steps in total and received the offer shortly after the last interview. They were opened to negotiations so I accepted the offer. This is ‘just’ a middle manager position, but all was set the day of my arrival. I received a 3month integration plan, office, computer with accesses to all platforms, email, name badge, business cards were all there and ready to use. It is so important that an employee feels welcomed and the team did a great job in making me feel just like that. Expectations grew for the future for sure. I’m about to finish my first month and I can’t wait to progress within FS.
Cons
Standards are quite high for a reason. Travel industry just changed so much in the past that it seems more difficult to find workforce with the right personality, knowledge and eagerness to learn & grow.
