Pros

Very laid back environment. Managers are very easy to get a long with and are very friendly. I haven't been here too long but they seem very understanding. They don't expect me to come in when its snowing as long as I let them know. Bosses are very lenient. Co-workers are very friendly.

Cons

The managers are laid back so things are a little slow. Sometimes you find people dragging their feet when you need some work from them in order to do your job. Managers don't communicate clearly enough sometimes and leave a lot open to your own judgement. They will however happily answer any questions you may have. Worst part is the downtown traffic and you have to pay for parking, which sucks. I hate paying to work. Compared to most companies, the things listed above are petty, this company is pretty awesome. One last thing, this is not a global forbes 500 company. So advancement opportunities are not as common and pay will obviously be slightly lower.

Pros

Great people to work with Great leadership group Ability to contribute Interesting niche Unlimited PTO Remote-First

Cons

Downtown Cleveland parking but with the recent Remote-First change and attitude, maybe not so much in the future? Small size can lead to a lot of different hats to wear

Pros

Three Doors to leave office when you quit. Rusty old Popcorn machine which has never been used but yay we can claim that as employee benefit. Expensive insurance benefits but yay we will just blame the grandfathered plan. Flexible schedule depending on who your boss is.

Cons

My bad for not believing these negative reviews, if you read these reviews please know that employees have quit this place like its some kind of winter mass migration . 4 Engineering (3 within a week) a VP and a director all quit within a month, I guess the management thinks this is normal turnover and not their incompetency. One of the reviews did mention that more employees will follow the three and that's exactly what is happening. I have heard they also laid off a CFO and never announced it. There is a lot of US vs them within different teams in a really unhealthy way. The CTO is a narcissist and I personally observed unethical behavior. Outsourcing of work has been going on and the Next Gen Portal has not be delivered. It looks like with this next gen portal the CTO wants this to be a one man show where everything is dependent on him, I can clearly see this next portal go the same way the IOWA democrat primaries. I can see a mass layoff of a team is in the pipeline now that the VP is gone. Your job happiness index is based on if you are a Boss's Pet.

We do appreciate you sharing your feedback and concerns on the organization. We offer a high deductible health plan to all eligible employees. Each year, in partnership with our broker, a market analysis is conducted to review coverage options. Deductibles, out of pocket maximums, premiums, services covered and other factors are weighed in choosing the best package for FormFire employees. We do, as you would know, also offer a generous monthly contribution to eligible employees’ HSA accounts. When an economy is thriving, as it was at the time this review was written, a certain amount of talented people leaving can be expected, particularly in our highly competitive area of technology. Over the years, FormFire has employed many people with impressive skills and experience - and we will continue to do so. We are saddened when we lose those skills and abilities, but we continue to focus on ensuring employees at FormFire have the opportunity for growth in responsibilities, leadership and technologies used – even if they end up taking their gifts elsewhere. That being said, over the course of 2020 and through the pandemic, we have driven a concerted effort to enhance employee well-being and engagement by increasing transparent communications, conducting quarterly employee engagement surveys and developing action plans from employee input. The CFO was very knowledgeable and brought a number of best practices to our organization. After the successful implementation of a new accounting software, the CFO and the company decided to part ways, but he continued to partner with the board for several months to provide additional financial analysis and support. We are stronger for the work he did – and our new financial team has been built on top of those efforts. We do pride ourselves on the flexibility that is offered to employees, including the generous paid time off plans for both salaried and hourly associates. I believe in and we aim for work-life harmony, while also focusing on meeting our business objectives. If you are a witness to unethical behavior, I encourage you to report it. Please use our independent Confidential Compliance Reporting Process that is available to all employees and is part of our Corporate Governance. All managers, supervisors and the Executive team welcome feedback from employees, including input on how to improve and address issues. If you have questions about the resources available to you, please talk with HR or your manager.
