Pros

- Great team mates and a collaborative culture - An amazing place to be an Engineer and a great CTO - Top tier customers and interesting projects - Bleeding edge Payments tech (is anyone more advanced??) - Interesting cloud-native stack - Looks great on the resume

Cons

- Lack of career advancement - Only Engineering truly get treated well (2 tier culture, us and the rest) - Share options offered in lieu of salary review -> but many leavers have found they were swindled out of their options and received nothing. For some this amounts to 6 figures. I don't know how they sleep at night. - Exec team is not in alignment -> think Barclays Execs and you know the culture of blame, avoidance and face time - Product team are fractious and leadership team are mismanaged - Promotion path is very limited for junior folks and this leads to a lot of attrition after the first year or so as there is nowhere but out to go - Appalling People team leadership. Even for a Startup, this is a terrible thing. It goes beyond ignorance to knowing inaction and harming through draconian tactics including sexism (and lack of punishment for offenders), unequal pay and unjustified dismissal.

Pros

Seriously some of the smartest and nicest people I have ever had the opportunity to work with. Great culture and the technology is the real deal so it's nice to be able to position solutions to clients you know you can deliver.

Cons

UK headquartered company that is still growing in the US. Target market is large banks who can be slow to move

Pros

Colleagues are incredibly intelligent and motivated, but their efforts are consistently undermined by a lack of support from management.

Cons

Recent layoffs were handled poorly, with no regard for the individuals affected. I was laid off and my manager never even spoke to me to say goodbye. In fact, management doesn't inform anyone when someone is let go, so you usually only find out when someone's account is deactivated. The CEO appears out of their depth and lacks a clear vision for the company. This created an atmosphere of uncertainty and fear. While the work itself was engaging, the toxic culture ultimately outweighs any positives.
