Pros

It was better years ago pre-Omnicom.

Cons

To borrow from their own favorite cliché of repetition: Flywheel did the wrong thing, in the wrong place, at the wrong time. Since the Omnicom takeover, the company has been in a freefall. Nearly all of the smart, capable talent has walked out the door, and the few who remain are polishing their résumés. Despite the glossy marketing, the technology is anything but “best in class.” It’s riddled with persistent bugs and half-baked features. Ironically, you’ll struggle to find a leader who can actually use the platform — but rest assured, they’re experts at sprinkling empty jargon like “incrementality” and “thought leadership” into every conversation. In short: this is not a place for growth, innovation, or even basic competence. I wouldn’t recommend working here unless you’re out of options — and even then, you’d be better off keeping your job search going.

Pros

As in most agencies, the best part are the teammates who are on the trenches with you.

Cons

Steer clear. Go anywhere else. In the 3 years I was at Flywheel/TPN they went through no less than 5 mergers or reclassifications. Few of which ever meaningfully impacted the work, but actively drained the agency culture and morale. 4 rounds of layoffs that I remember. NO raises and only 1 review. And a baffling RTO policy that has little to do with collaboration and everything to do with commercial real estate tax benefits. Omni sucks the life out of these incredible agencies, taking decades of innovation and turning them into mere pawns. The leadership has no real authority and views workers not as people, but numbers. The "clean desk" policy means there's zero personality in the office. Because people are not rotated off old accounts there's not fresh perspective. High stress and there no chill. I've never cried so much at a job. Not used to coworkers being so rude, cold, and snappy. Omnicom is pushing AI and monitoring if you're using it regardless of whether it's necessary or makes sense for your role. There are better agencies out there, go apply there and leave Flywheel to fix their model.
