Pros

The people who work at Fluxx are wonderful and the new office space is beautiful! Lots of fun social activities such as a running club and happy hours. The opportunity to use technology to help major players in the philanthropic space is exciting and helps you feel a sense of purpose.

Cons

Work/life balance is non-existent. The company has mastered the art of marketing and selling their product but really sucks at building the processes and infrastructure needed to create a thriving company that motivates individuals, is financially successful, and doesn't lead to burn out. There is no such thing as priorities or making sustained progress towards a goal. Assignments can change at the drop of a hat or based on someone's interest (or based on whatever carrot or pot of money some VC flashes their way) because there is no accountability or ownership of anything. Everyone has their hand in the pot but no one knows how it fits into a bigger picture. This place has so much potential but its best to wait joining the team until they've cleaned up their act. It's too draining and haphazard.

Pros

Fluxx is a great company work for, it si one of the few places i have worked where the spirit of the company is closer to a nonprofit or mission based organization.

Cons

As they have taken on investment they have had to formalize porcesses which means it is not as much like a start up anymore. It is fully remote nut they do try to get everyone to knwo each other

Pros

Competitive Salary and benefits Remote work Philanthropy focused

Cons

Code base is unmaintainable with many many different versions deployed to different client environments Engineers are asked to manage deployments and on calls, most of the work is putting out client-specific fires Leadership cut many engineers and staff last year without any performance review or opportunity to improve after going away on a "Leadership Retreat" Clear favorites within the company Management will yell at you in retrospectives if you call out any issues even if you present potential solutions
