I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Fluxx (United, LA) in May 2024
Interview
Had a Zoom interview scheduled and never even got a chance to speak with anyone at the company other than being told: "My email must have gotten mixed up in your spam folder." No, it didn't. An email was never even sent. This was a lie to shift the blame off on me, as the candidate for why they ghosted me for an interview that they scheduled. They had already decided on another candidate, which is fine. But some level of basic respect should have been given to me to at least contact me. HR had my email and phone number and I am not difficult to contact. This was so disrespectful of my time. I had to reschedule my day for this interview just to be stood up, in the end.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and disappointment this situation caused. We take your feedback seriously and are actively working to ensure our recruitment processes are more transparent and respectful of candidates’ time.

Interview
My interview experience was similar to other negative reviews posted on here. Just plain bizarre and poor communication by the recruiter. I sent follow up emails to the recruiter and I never received a reply, not even when I sent over a TY to all interviewers. I received a rejection email 2 days after completing the technical interview.
High-Level Overview: Started with a phone screen conducted by the recruiter and then a first round interview with the CEO. Next round I met with two senior leaders from Product and Engjneering. What bothered me so much about this entire process was the reason cited in the rejection email - “we are going with another candidate farther along in the process.” Like really?!. IMO I just nailed the technical interview and had great discussions with the entire team. If I was not “far ahead in the process” then why even bother advancing me to the technical round?. It felt like a complete waste of time.
Tbh, I don’t know what to make about this company and the entire interview experience is indicative of what it must be like to work at Fluxx. I fee like they are phishing for information and using interviews to crowdsource how to fix current issues plaguing their platform. Feeling like it’s all smoke and mirrors and they are drowning in tech debt. Outdated tech stack and JQuery frontend makes for an eyesore behind the scenes. They are targeting government based contracts, but they are nowhere near the position to scale.
Organizational skills and responsiveness are integral in the interviewing process to landing top talent and providing prospective candidates with a good experience.

Interview
I would describe the interview process as highly unusual. This is frankly the strangest interview process that I have experienced, with all due respect to the people involved. I spoke with the HR representative and point of contact who was very personable and kind. The first red flag was that they had attempted to hire a round of candidates before but didn't find anyone that they liked. After that, I would say that it all went downhill. At no point did the point of contact respond to any of my emails. During the second interview, the first interviewer didn't look at me at all. The interviewer was completely deadpan and seemingly uninterested in my existence. The job description was highly focused on inbound but they seemed to indicate it was more of a supportive role, but it continued to be unclear. The first interviewer left and a second interviewer arrived. My experience with the second interviewer, a higher-up, could only be described as bizarre. She asked me to tell her about myself and when I explained my professional experience, she looked at me like I was insane. She kind of tilted her head to the side and stared at me agape for a few seconds. Throughout the "interview" in which I received really no questions, she continued to almost condescend to me and look at me as though I had begun talking about something completely inane. At no point could I figure out what she wanted me to say or what she was looking for period. I am unsure that they know either. That or the team just doesn't know how to ask the right questions. She stressed that she was looking for diversity and a good team fit. All in all, it sounded like she was looking for a diverse personality hire if I was to guess. After the interview, I was quite literally flabbergasted. I reached out with a thank you email and was once again ignored until my rejection came in the next day. I was quite disappointed with the experience given the value of the work that they do assisting nonprofits. I'm sure all the people involved are very hardworking. I hope they can get their hiring process straightened out because they do have a good product and message.
