Pros

- Pay was on par with going rate - Tons of advancement opps - also a con

Cons

While there was a lot of chances to advance, they also seem to promote people fast, whether they are qualified or not. The CEO is a cool guy, but he is a micro manager, and because of that, the managers are micro managers because it seems like he's breathing down their neck all the time. The work-life balance here is also a crap shoot, depending on who your manager is. Some teams have a good work-life balance, while others seemed to be expected to work all hours, and their free time was not at all respected - which seemed to be because of inconsistent management rather then necessity. One of the managers seemed to have her team always working, and they mentioned she'd tell them they were expected to be online working, even on days the rest of the company were given off. Overall, it seems like one hand doesnt' know what the other is doing. I guess it's the general disorganization of a typical startup, but my advice is to look at companies that are more established and also focus on company culture.

Pros

Fluxx is a great company work for, it si one of the few places i have worked where the spirit of the company is closer to a nonprofit or mission based organization.

Cons

As they have taken on investment they have had to formalize porcesses which means it is not as much like a start up anymore. It is fully remote nut they do try to get everyone to knwo each other

Pros

Competitive Salary and benefits Remote work Philanthropy focused

Cons

Code base is unmaintainable with many many different versions deployed to different client environments Engineers are asked to manage deployments and on calls, most of the work is putting out client-specific fires Leadership cut many engineers and staff last year without any performance review or opportunity to improve after going away on a "Leadership Retreat" Clear favorites within the company Management will yell at you in retrospectives if you call out any issues even if you present potential solutions
