Pros

- Genuinely built a supportive and people first culture. - Team is made up of incredibly smart, kind, and talented individuals - Strong emphasis on async work and work life balance. - Leadership is transparent, approachable and focused on building sustainable business. - Product that customers love and genuinely business savvy clients.

Cons

- Compensation is good overall, but slightly below what some other US-based remote companies might offer for similar roles. - At times, the workload can feel intense. Though this one is being addressed by hiring more folks.

Pros

One of the greatest pros I can give on Float is that everything is tremendously transparent. From the interview process, to the onboarding process, to receiving feedback, to how to grow within the company, everything has been VERY clear. Comp package is very fair with clear paths for exceeding your number. Everyone in the company operates with excellence, with an eye toward doing better than the last thing you did. CEO is very involved in a positive way. Clearly cares about the direction the company is heading and has a clear directive on how to get there. This team listens to it's customers more than any place I've been to and clearly prioritizes the features that are being heavily asked for. Async environment is not for everyone; however, if you can clearly communicate with examples/evidence to paint an easily understandable picture, this is not an issue. Even with an async environment, everyone celebrates the work we do together. Culture is one of positivity, excellence, and continued improvement.

Cons

With an async environment, there are a lot of different places you have to be able to go/operate. Since you have a lot of autonomy, people won't always be available to hold your hand, so you have to figure things out for yourself. Not really a con, but just the reality of working with a global team.

Pros

- Great bunch of people who've created an intentional culture, and that shows in their quality of work, conversations, and ownership. - Remote, asynchronous, has thoughtful guidelines for everything, and an appetite to do and be better. - Solid team, hungry to level up.

Cons

- As everybody says, remote + async is not for everybody. - There's visible effort being put in shedding unhelpful processes and speeding up the development. WIP!
