Pros

Every person I've met at the company has been nothing but kind and warm- very friendly and easy-going. I did love the flexibility BEFORE September 2024 as WFH is very convenient. In the office, we get free coffee + snacks which is nice. I was a 2023 LEAPer during the summer which was both intense and very fun as I mad tons of friends close to my age (early 20s). The training was a great transition from college to adulthood. Starting pay is great fresh out of college. Fidelity gives bonuses every year which is amazing. Benefits are awesome.

Cons

Since beginning of September, associates must come into the office twice as much. Going from one week per month in office to two weeks per month (every other week). This has led to some chaos due to limited parking/desks/food and overall office resources needed to get work done. Last week when I went, I must've parked AT LEAST half a mile away.. maybe more! I couldn't even find an open desk, so I did my work on the communal couch. I've heard of employees sharing desks and even working on the floor. There were cars parked on the landscaping causing a fire/flood hazard. Pulling up to work, I thought I was attending a concert instead.. nope.. just an influx of employees going into work. Don't even think about leaving campus to get lunch elsewhere because you WILL lose your space and run into traffic. Traffic to park is terrible during peak hours as well. Fidelity wants us to come in office more often but won't compensate for extra gas/clothes/car maintenance/doggy daycare, etc. I'm pretty disappointed to see this impact of RTO when research proves WFH leads to increased productivity. It's embarrassing because I loved this company and could see myself working here for at least another 4 years. Now I'm unsure of my future here. It seems like the higherups are shutting our voices out and I dislike it. Oh yeah, and they're just throwing away valuable out-of-state remote employees because they cannot afford to just up and relocate closer to where the headquarters is. Fidelity refuses to compensate them for relocation for some reason?? Fidelity told their remote workers to comply with policy or terminate effectively 12/31/24. I'm almost ashamed of my company because of this. It is very sad. Hopefully they will realize the mistake they made and adjust accordingly and fast.

Pros

Benefits including profit sharing and bonuses are great. The breadth of this company provides a great opportunity to try out different career paths or boost your current one.

Cons

In my current role, I am working overtime more often than I'd like with recognition that seems to only go so far until it sizzles out. That may be tied to the size of the company itself, where promotions work in a "trickle down" manner.
