Pros

Benefits, but benefits aren't nearly as good as my former employer (bank)

Cons

Literally everything. Management sucks, most lean right and have the small town mentality and not much tact. Dress code is stupid, business casual to blazer Wednesdays? When the job could be done at home as there aren't any customers who see any of the building?! Let go of the 1950s and trust your employees to dress and work well with out micro managing literally everything. It's an outdated old boys club. Wfh is total possible heck even hybrid but there's no trust and management micro manages the sht out of you so wfh will never be an option. It's a weird cult vibe for sure. The ones who don't drink the Kool aid and suck up usually quit. The bullies get rewarded. The work itself isn't rewarding at all which has bred the most miserable people. They take this misery out on others. Ive never seen so many adult bullies in my life. Management treats staff like children. There's so much over time every week because of poor management. They'll say that there's no turn over problem but there is. No one likes this department because it's considered the sht funnel aka everyone transfers issues to this dept and they gotta figure it out. On top of the customer service there multiple monthly audits done by a department far removed from the actual work. There's a huge brain drain, all the tenure reps have left for promotions or quit leaving the work to newer less experienced and efficient folks. Diversity and inclusion is a facade. They have a committee that sends out "newsletters" instead of really doing anything to foster and educate employees. The department has zero POC because they all have quit because of how crappy and ignorant the environment was

Pros

Hands down, the best employment culture of any company I’ve worked for in my 25+ years practicing law. Federated is a true rarity - a company that genuinely lives its corporate values every day, in decisions both large and small. Leadership listens to employees with curiosity and a willingness to improve, not defensiveness or indifference. There’s a common refrain that if a company takes care of its employees, those employees will, in turn, take care of customers. I’ve never seen that philosophy embraced or executed as successfully as it is at Federated. Success is recognized and rewarded, teamwork - or “interdependence,” as we call it - is the norm, and challenges or setbacks are treated as opportunities for constructive feedback and growth. And that’s before even mentioning the outstanding compensation and benefits. I recommend Federated wholeheartedly and without reservation to friends and family.

Cons

Business formal dress code for more senior positions may be a bit antiquated.
