FCT Default Solutions (formerly DRN Commerce) - IT workers will hate the lack of creativity - Business Analyst FCT Employee Review

Woefully low end compensation, specifically in IT group. Corporate rebranding and integration in with parent company in 2012 killed off any remaining entrepreneurial spirit this company once had. The vibe is gone, along with many perks. Many ppl in large IT dept were very dissatisfied. The SDLC process is old-school waterfall with extremely strict and tight controls at every move. If you like writing reams of documentation that serves no other purpose than satisfying a process checklist, you may like it here. The Default Solutions software product itself is poorly designed, the core engine being an old MS Access app designed by one guy in late 90's. The database is so badly designed and 'denormalized' that most of the IT work being done is to respond to constant client complaints about how slow the system performs. They keep ignoring all calls to re-work the DB. Sad.
