Pros
There was a recent pay alignment to be more competitive in the market, a good thing. When giving the increases the DM said that now that the pay was higher everybody had to work harder, how to turn a positive into a negative.
Cons
The Hotels are run down, haven't been updated in many years. The result is guests give very negative reviews equating run down with dirty. Housekeepers do a great job with what they have to work with. Senior management doesn't invest in the hotels because it will eat into their bonuses. They also don't give anything but negative feedback to hotel management, very de-motivating. Instead they come up with Slogans, this weeks is "We Mean Clean". No resources, just a baggie with some mints and a few other random things printed with "We Mean Clean". Even though the rates are one of the lowest in the area guest are appalled at the condition of the hotel and let the Front Desk employees know it, many of the guests are down right abusive. Combined with non-supportive upper management and you have a horrible place to work.
