Pros
Stability and close to home
Cons
While pay is good the level of work load has increased expodentially due to down sizing and an increase in bean counters in the management ranks. The bean counters must justify their existence via "PI"s which may or may not make sense. You wind up working 55 to 60 hour weeks for 40 hours of pay just to keep up.
