Layoffs were handled poorly. I was laid off in a group meeting with several other employees, without privacy or time to process the information or ask meaningful questions. It felt impersonal and lacking in respect for the people affected.
There often seemed to be a disconnect between upper management and the day-to-day realities of the work. Decisions sometimes felt driven by people who were not close to the work itself, and there was a strong expectation to do more with fewer resources.
Leadership culture did not always encourage differing opinions or subject-matter expertise, which made it difficult to raise concerns or provide constructive input.
