Pros

Great colleagues, great experiences. Love this Industry and the clients we work with.

Cons

It is very hard getting paid. A lot of people who currently work or who have worked for EPS will agree. You have to wait for weeks/months for a cheque to arrive by mail. We give 100% of ourselves then have to wait for weeks to see the money we are owed. Extremely frustrating, but even more frustrating is management's radio silence (ie your job is done, they could not care less), the lack of replies when asked about pay. We are told not to speak to the clients about pay - because they know perhaps no client would agree to such treatment. How about higher management, office staff, the CEO? Are they paid every few weeks or months? Top, middle and bottom we are ONE family at EPS and we should be treated the same, with dignity, when it comes to pay. If the CEO was treated the same, and paid every few weeks (it's never really specified when you should expect your pay), how would she feel? Would she accept this silently? EPS employees, EPS clients, are you reading this? Something needs to be done - this is a major issue.

Thanks for the feedback - we very much appreciate it. I am sorry to hear that your paycheck was delayed, as this is not at all the typical brand ambassador experience. In fact, as of today we have a two-week payment turnaround for all field employees, which is one of (if not the) best payment times in the industry. I noticed that you mentioned you receive checks by mail, which could certainly stretch the time frame in which you receive your check. We encourage all of our field staff to sign up for direct deposit so there is no lag time. I would be happy to talk further about your payment, as well as any lack of communication on our part. I apologize if anything was unclear, or if you had challenges getting answers from anyone on our team. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime at kkelley@eventprostrategies.com. All the Best, Kelly Springs-Kelley Director of Marketing EventPro Strategies

Pros

Business has been in continual operation since 1999! They must be doing something right. Company is the pioneer in W-2 staffing model as all field employees are W-2, and company owner is considered an expert in the industry. Company is large enough to provide security and stability for core employees, and international services for its' clients, while being small enough to still maintain a family atmosphere. Working in the "People Capital" business, people can be both a Pro and Con of the business. Company owner is passionate about doing the right thing for clients and employees, and is actively involved in the operations of the company. Company owner supports employees working remotely from home, with 45% of current employees working remotely. Company Management has an open door policy, as well, it maintains a Drama Free Office environment, encouraging open and honest communication from the top to the bottom. Company employees are outgoing and friendly. Employees genuinely care about each other. Offices are very nice, inviting, and comfortable. Pay rates are at market and competitive with other companies in the same industry.

Cons

Working in the "People Capital" business, people can be both a Pro and Con of the business. The seasonality of the business creates a fluctuation in seasonal and project employee numbers, as the business grows and contracts to meet seasonal business requirements. Seasonal and project employees are all aware of the seasonal nature of their employment.
