Pros

Uhmmm I am stumped... moving on. Seriously though... I not much in the way of pros.

Cons

From a corporate view, they couldn't care less about you. Locally, my managers are for the most part ok. Other staff I work with are great. Low pay, laughable benefits, no raises... EVER, No possible way to stand out and get noticed. Once it's determined that they have no use for you anymore, you're gone! Revolving door of employees. They have to stop hiring students to become instructors. There are some gems in the instructor base, teaching degrees, PhD's etc... but that is few and far between. Micromanagement seems to be the key in this company along with an "old School" work philosophy. People have lives Eminata Group! Let us live them for god's sake!

Pros

I have been working for this company as a Legal Studies Instructor for the past 3 years. I have over 28 years of experience in the legal field and truly enjoy not only the teaching aspect, but working with the team at one of the Edmonton campuses. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a job this much. The Director is absolutely amazing. She is fair, hard working, and very compassionate. I have fun every day, and I get to do what I love doing best, which is transfer my knowledge to aspiring/transitioning adults. Many of our students have landed excellent jobs in their field of study - that is, those who have really put in the time and effort. As employees, what we put in, also reflects what we get out of it. When you have passion for what you are doing, it doesn't matter where you work. You will find the silver lining!

Cons

A little upgrade to the computer systems could assist the fluency and cause less distress for students AND employees

Pros

The working environment with regular employees is pretty good. The stress levels are low until upper management is around. Pay was ok.

Cons

Upper management gives off a very negative vibe/instantly makes you feel like you need to watch where you step. No job security/can be let go if upper management doesn't like you. Very numbers driven. If you aren’t putting up the required stats if you are an admissions rep, you are gone. It does not matter what the quality of the leads they are getting at any given time is. A lead is a lead, as they say. They are more concerned about making money than offering quality, up to date programs to students.
