Pros
The RPMs and OMs are usually accommodating and friendly, I've had many good coaches and coworkers to help me out in times of stress, and their marketing is totally fantastic! They really get you on board with their mission, and give you the tools to help out even when you're brand new to coaching, education, or sports! There is no other kind of experience for fusing SEL learning with sports, and the games they designed are fantastic for that experience. You are bound to have fun teaching kids new games, AND teach them key life skills! They have such a great opportunity to solve key issues in education.
Cons
Some of Elevo's staff are not terribly communicative. I don't know if it's because they're overworked, or simply unresponsive, but they'll often drop in with no communication, switch your site or job with little to no communication, or not respond to your texts and/or emails for weeks. A large portion of your experience is determined by Elevo's relationship and contract with the school. If relationships are good, then your experience is great. But if money's short on the school's end, you'll wear multiple hats. If Elevo wants to expand their contract with a school, they'll push you to be a PR person for them towards the school, which will usually also include doing work you did not sign up for to appease the school. The company also seemed way too focused on expansion and promotion, to the point where it couldn't reasonably retain its coaches, OR its contracts. I believe this is why I was laid off.
