Normal growing pains of a startup and communication when remote, but the offsites bring us together.

When you have been around in the industry as long as I have (which is almost 25 years), you'll start to realize that all companies are the same. Until they are not, and that's what you find in Edge Impulse. Working at Edge Impulse is like being at the right place at the right time. The 'Edge AI' market is white hot and everyone wants to be in this space right now. There's an old adage that says "it doesn't feel like work if you're having fun", and this has been especially true at my time here so far. As an engineer by nature, it has been a wondrous opportunity to learn new things EVERY SINGLE DAY that it never gets boring. I count my blessings every day, know that when I wake up, I have the god given opportunity to work with awesome teammates, an awesome, innovative culture that values work/life balance, and some of the greatest customers and partners in the industry at the intersection of AI, IoT, Embedded Systems, and the Cloud. This isn't a con, but since we are a fully remote org you have to stay disciplined in order to stay productive. However, if you can master this, you'll have a blast forever.
