Pros

Flexibility People to work with Technological advancements no one has Training

Cons

POOR work/life balance. Expectation is to work your regular hours which can average 50-60 hours and then more when you get home and on weekends. Impossible to manage if you have a family. Then management has nerve to facetiously thank your spouse for allowing you time to work. We all understand that there is no such thing as a 40 hour work week any more but 60-70 hours is not what makes a great job. Management not in tune with the reality of the situation when it comes to ability/time to complete tasks. Compensation not adequate based on the amount of time invested in work. ] High performers are getting burned out. Expected to make profitability goals (which impact your commission) while being told to take on extremely low profit accounts from corporate account managers. They reap the reward and you get screwed in your commission. Health benefits have become a joke since the Ecolab merger. Increased cost and extremely high deductibles. IT department is a joke. My teenager knows more about computer repair then they do. Hiring new employees at lower base and "incentivizing" them by explaining how much growth potential there is at Nalco if they keep fulfilling goals. Bait and switch. Management very obvious in the way they handle "favorites". Multi billion dollar (highly profitable) company that took away profit sharing from the field force. Volumes of administrative work keeps increasing to please management and THEIR goals. Minimal value to customer and even less to rep. Sales reps are being asked to do more service work than sales as of late because there is not enough support.

Pros

The actual coworkers and team members are great. Everyone is super supportive and just trying to help each other out.

Cons

Management: There’s a huge disconnect between upper leadership and the people doing the day-to-day work. Goals and priorities change constantly with very little communication, and it often feels like micromanagement takes the place of actual guidance. Work-Life Balance: The workload is completely unsustainable. You’re expected to handle an overwhelming amount of work, but you aren't given the resources or staffing to actually get it done without burning out. Expecting people to constantly work over their hours has become the norm. Lack of Growth: Career progression is pretty much non-existent. Promises of promotions or career development are thrown around, but they rarely actually happen. There’s no clear pathway to move up, so it’s easy to feel stuck and stagnant.
