Pros

There are family events and networking opportunities.

Cons

The morale is the lowest I’ve ever seen. Everyone is out to build themselves up, presumably due to the ranking system structure. There is no mentorship program and there is not a drive for training team/morale building. It’s a place where you get ahead by stepping on the backs of others. The environment is not conducive of trust or encouragement. Although you will hear lots of talk about safety, management attitude toward identified gaps is as the old saying goes; “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” I’ve heard “we’ve been doing things this way for long as I can remember & nothing had happened” BY MANAGEMENT more than I’d like to count! If you think want to go somewhere to make changes because you’ve got great ideas and you know what good looks like, this is not the place for you! If you’re good at backbiting, going with the flow, covering things up, and quick fixes… you’ll feel right at home!

Pros

Friendly, helpful colleagues. Vast variety of opportunities for engineers, especially younger ones. Actively supporting the communities where we live and work. Recent changes in management have restored positive outlook.

Cons

A lot of eggs are in the circular-economy basket rather than having the risk more evenly distributed among our product streams. We've lost a lot of talent recently to other businesses, partly because of unhappiness with former management but partly because of pay. Annual pay increases exist but have not even come close to keeping up with inflation.
