Pros
I joined EXL from campus. The people down here are young, vibrant with lots of people from IITs and IIMs. Got to learn a lot from the fellow workers and the training program for campus hires was excellent. The work in most of the projects is also good and so is the office.
Cons
Had to deal with a very stubborn HR team; who constantly found flaws in your contract to reduce your salary. There is a large difference between the amount of money promised at the time of hiring and what you get. Be very careful to look through all the clauses before accepting the offer. The senior management (AVPs and VPs) are highly disappointing and demotivating. They have an unique aura of negativity about them and will demotivate at each and every step. One small incident::- A video conference was going on in the conference room where the sound was largely broken and inaudible and it went on for 2 hours and people were not allowed to move out of the room as clients were present. After the conference when people complained about the poor sound quality the VP replies "Technological issues have always been there and will be there; you have to deal with it." Mind you these are exact words of a Vice-President of the company!!!
