Pros

Good central location Challenging opportunities - some positive Looks good on CV

Cons

Employed as a trainee/graduate social media & graphic designer but was expected to create advanced graphic design without any in house graphic designers or mentors. Management were rude, some senior staff would speak in french & exclude new members of staff even when there was only a small team in the office Frequently given feedback & told to turn around a task within the last hour of the day, even when the task would need several hours to complete Pay was Minimum wage but you were often expected to stay late without overtime

Pros

Only one positive, getting paid for putting up with nothing but non productive critique from a founder who thinks she knows everything there is about beauty.

Cons

The whole brand is a con. Managed by a very indecisive founder who only has one leg to stand on “all about the undertones baby”. Come on, there’s thousands of products around selling foundations with yellow under tones. They need to work on their unique selling point, they need to listen to every staff member whether intern or director.

Pros

1. Hands-on learning experience. 2. Very friendly, collaborative, and entrepreneurial culture. 3. Work directly with the senior management team and witness how strategic decisions are made from close quarters 4. Excellent work-life balance

Cons

1. Given its a very dynamic startup, one has to work at times in an unstructured environment. But I guess that is also the fun part if you enjoy it.
