Pros

- For a Minneapolis internship, they pay you pretty fairly at $25/hr. Other local companies pay $20/hr. - They're patient and expect you to make mistakes as part of the development process. No shame in doing so; it's a natural component to learning. - The internship isn't necessarily geared at software engineering only. They invite you to coffee chats and other talks to give a well-rounded perspective of the company's business direction, and how your work complements their consulting offering under Xerxes Global.

Cons

You don't get too much interaction with many peers in software engineering. Apart from the coffee chats, work is a tad isolating if you don't make the effort to get out of your chair.

Pros

Some of the sharpest and most talented people I've worked with, who know how to balance working hard and prioritizing excellence with a sense of humor and lightheartedness which is a joy to work with. I learned more here than any other company I've worked for, in both finance and technical concepts, as well as relationally and professionally.

Cons

Product development is behind where it needs to be, but is made up for by a strong team who does what is needed to get the job done. Long hours at times, but generally embraced due to a strong culture.
