Pros

Set your own schedule, handles situations professionally, genuinely service clients with solid driving training, students are great to work with, works independently

Cons

Little interaction with management, no feedback good or bad about performance, raises are small and the pay rate is per student when you factor in travel time to pick up car and pick u p students from various locations, the hourly rate varies. In my cases, I never made the per student rate; it was always lower. The company offers a 401K plan, but it is not matched.

Pros

Flexible schedule! You set what days and times you want to work and if there's students available, they'll be added to your schedule. Should be willing to work afternoons/evenings or weekends when teens are out of school. The students are nice and teaching a beginner to drive can be a rewarding experience. Good job for an independent person who wants to make some extra money.

Cons

There's a lot to learn quickly and the management can be very patronizing in correcting your inevitable errors. Don't expect any pats-on-the-back or positive feedback from superior(s) based out of Canyon Lake, CA. Would not recommend this as a full-time job. Sitting in a car all day can be taxing and honestly a bit lonely and boring as your only company are your 15-year-old students. There's not much potential for personal or professional growth.
