Pros

There are some growth opportunities

Cons

-During holiday season you will work extended hours and 6 days a week missing valuable family time and in general become burnt out -The systems they use for accessing tax information, benefits, etc are all over the place and difficult to navigate. Any HR change such as changing your bank account will take far longer than it should (weeks). Plus there's no number or direct line of communication with the HR department for workers. -Old school, inhumane HR practices. Imagine being let go after decades of good performance reviews and no former corrective actions or warnings. Dollar tree has a horrible turnover problem and stressful work environments but will let go loyal employees who have dealt with it for years without so much as an explanation or allowing for the employee to tell their side of the story.

Pros

I enjoyed working at Dollar Tree because it allowed me to lead a team, help develop associates, and make a difference in my store. I liked the fast-paced environment and the variety of challenges that came with running daily operations. The experience helped me grow as a manager, strengthen my problem-solving skills, and build great relationships with both my team and customers.

Cons

The biggest challenges were limited staffing, heavy workloads, and a lack of support from the district level when issues arose. PTO requests were often denied due to business needs, which made it difficult to achieve a good work-life balance. While these challenges could be frustrating at times.
