Pros

Great employees, you get to train and coach your team.

Cons

Never enough hours to get what needs to be done for the business. Even if you are beating sales and generating hours we are no longer allowed to use those hours. They are constantly adding more and more on store managers to do. Backrooms are totally out of control with no slowing down on freight coming in. District Manager doesnt care as long as he is making his SPEH bonus he never ever offers to come help any of his Stores. They do not want to hear anything management has to say, and when asked for the contact information for Zone manager they will not even give it to you.

Pros

I enjoyed working at Dollar Tree because it allowed me to lead a team, help develop associates, and make a difference in my store. I liked the fast-paced environment and the variety of challenges that came with running daily operations. The experience helped me grow as a manager, strengthen my problem-solving skills, and build great relationships with both my team and customers.

Cons

The biggest challenges were limited staffing, heavy workloads, and a lack of support from the district level when issues arose. PTO requests were often denied due to business needs, which made it difficult to achieve a good work-life balance. While these challenges could be frustrating at times.
