Pros
Great place to start your career in tech because the tech is simple and in my years there. If you are not overly ambitious, the roles there can be pretty comfy with good work life balance. u can kind of con your way for years even if u don’t really know much or don’t have a degree
Cons
You will constantly feel like a fraud - The company constantly changes “messaging”, product name, “use case”, every year but the product didn’t change at all. So u need to insist in front of customer that it’s a different dish although it’s clear as the sky to everyone in the room that nothing has changed. I think there are many many reviews about the code being so old is true, that’s why the product didn’t really improve no matter what they reply in Glassdoor abt the product improving. management wonders why u can’t sell the product. Because it’s a Nokia 3310 when everyone be buying iPhone. There was also a very strong pip culture during my time. It seemed like the case in all the reviews. I was an unfortunate member of the club, it really crushed my self esteem big time, as it would for anyone. At one point, I felt my manager was my narc bf. He would just go ballistic and argue in circles during our 1-1 and would get into an argument with his own team instead of giving a solution. Towards the end I started to record the convo for my own collection. I’m still in therapy now, but it’s not paid by Diligent insurance. Keep changing strategy cos the SLT has very low quality counsel in each region - Japan office is one great example.
