Pros

There are some good people to work with. It used to have really strong benefits, top salaries, work from home allowence, two weeks paid vacation called recharge weeks, positive vibes. There are some great initiatives to make a stronger community based on hobbies. I used to recommend this place to my friends. Now i highly discourage them from that.

Cons

They take away everything what was good before. - almost each and every collague is depressed and have negative vibes. - no more recharge weeks. It might be that we will get one, if some random profit numbers will be met… - 50% office presence is mandatory - except if you get an exception based on totally random factors, which will be valid for 1 years… - the year on year salary increases are a joke - they would be a joke even in normal circumstances, but in these inflationary times… my salarys real value worth almost 50% less when i come here. Even if you get promoted you will only get half of the official inflations rate. Now they even want you to commute to the office, so in reality this year they cut your salary (especially if you count in commuting hours) But i guess forcing commute is great for ESG, it has to be, cause that bs facade is really pushed within the company.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. We'd certainly agree that we have dedicated, helpful and smart people on our team, and it’s great to hear that you found a good community here. However, we're sorry to hear your broader experience, as it is not reflective of our commitment to creating a vibrant, supportive work environment for every colleague. We continue to work hard to provide competitive benefits and compensation for our team members, as we strike a continual balance between delivering best-in-class service for our clients and supporting a healthy work-life balance for everyone on our team through our generous time off program, an annual recharge week, bi-yearly promotional cycles and dedicated Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). To your comments on pay progression, we recognize that offering clear, actionable career development opportunities is critical in promoting a healthy workplace culture. Along with our internal goal-setting program, we’ve also recently launched new efforts like Career Talk webinars so employees can share how they’ve progressed on their journey at Diligent. If you have ideas about how we can improve in these areas, I’d encourage you to reach out to your manager or any ELT member. We value your honest feedback and will certainly take it onboard as an opportunity to improve. Thank you for your contributions at Diligent! - Avigail Dadone, Chief People Officer

Pros

The product is market-leading, and the space is genuinely interesting. There's no shortage of smart, capable people at Diligent. A lot of talented managers exist within the org who could do more if given the room.

Cons

Direction changes constantly — sometimes it feels quarter over quarter. The result is widespread burnout and an inability to execute. Senior leaders rarely push back on the CEO, which means teams absorb every strategic shift without warning or context. HR leadership prioritizes serving the executive team over the broader employee population. The HR team is stretched thin and operates more like a compliance function than a culture or development partner. (Turnover within HR leadership has been notable.) Pay is below market. The equity program is opaque, poorly managed, and functions more as a retention mechanism than a genuine benefit (with no clear path to liquidity). There's a meaningful gap between what the company says it stands for—especially around employee experience—and what it actually delivers internally.

Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback about your experience. We truly appreciate you recognizing the strengths of our product and the talent across our team, and we’re glad to hear the space feels interesting and compelling. We also recognize that as a company focused on governance, risk and compliance, that it’s critical to hold ourselves to the same high standards internally. Through our monthly pulse surveys, we listen to our team, learn and actively work to strengthen any areas of feedback from alignment to transparency, or accountability across our leadership teams. In fact, one of our OKRs is focused solely on ensuring we have an empowered and accountable team, which we rally around as an organization. We appreciate other sources of feedback like yours, as it is an important part of that effort. Our People team is committed to supporting an elevated employee experience and continuously improving how we listen, respond, and evolve. While we won’t always get everything right on the first try, we are highly focused on continuing to iterate and making meaningful progress to ensure our actions reflect our values.
