Pros
They cater lunch quite frequently and they stock the break room with snacks and goodies. Also they have a soda machine and a game room with a lot of good games. Standard benefits like health, dental, pto, stuff like that. They used to give you a big bonus for a trip each year and that was really nice, but the rumor is that they are cutting that out and they have already decreased the bonus amount substantially. It's hardly a perk anymore. The regular level employees are pretty nice and friendly. There can be some drama sometimes but mostly people get along. The HR team is very kind and listens to any issues you may have. The company prides itself on having great customer service, and they do that very well. Before I left the company seemed to be making an effort to reach out to the employees for ways in which they could improve. There was a lot of feedback but management seemed resistant to incorporating a lot of it. I didn't stick around long enough to find out if they actually used any of the ideas we gave them.
Cons
There is ZERO opportunity for advancement in this company unless you are a developer or a rock star salesman. Check the median salary for the position you are trying to get and make sure they pay you at least that. Some salaries are on the low end of the spectrum. If you are considering a job here, don't fool yourself - as with many companies there is a lot of politicking and strategy that comes with working here. When I started there wasn't as much but now it seems like there's all these secret alliances between management and some of the employees. If that's your thing and you're good at climbing those kinds of ladders then you will excel here, but if that's not your style then I'd look elsewhere. Other companies will probably pay you better too. Management definitely plays favorites. The office can be cliquey and if you're not a part of a certain group you may face a little bit of abrasiveness from people in other groups. Also, they have a slide which they spent a substantial amount of money on, and that was a stupid investment because hardly anyone uses it and in reality it is actually only a potential risk and liability to the company. That was money that could have been spent on something that actually generated revenue. Management is only starting to realize that they need to ask for feedback from employees and understand the issues that are facing the company internally. Considering how long they've been around, I'd say they're pretty sluggish to adapt to this concept. The company is also not as much fun since one of the old execs (Nick) left. They used to do a lot of events like family game nights and golf tournaments and stuff but they've grown a lot and now they don't really do that stuff as much. I think they still have company movie nights every now and then. Since they were acquired by this investment company they seem mostly to care only about the revenue generated and the dollar is the bottom line. I can't blame them for that, after all, money talks and this IS a business, but it used to be a lot friendlier and happier environment than it is now. Overall I'd say they're average. Just ok. They might have been one of the best companies to work for in Utah in the past but they are lagging behind now.
