Pros

This does not apply to this company. Ask anyone who’s worked there or been one of their clients. I would know since a lot of their clients are ours now 😉. Oh wait, there’s one pro…. you hate working there so much that any other company you go to feels like Google.

Cons

Let’s start from the beginning. You are made to buy your own PPE (which is illegal). If you could attach papers to reviews, I would attach the documents showing you need to buy them yourself. If you’re lucky enough to get a 40hr work week, you’ll never make more than $18/hr. If you don’t work for a month or more, you’re not allowed apply for unemployment because “you’re my employee!” his words, not mine. You don’t get paid for travel time. So, if you must go from the office (in northern Baltimore) to the Pentagon, you pay for the gas, tolls and wear and tear on your own vehicle to get there. Your pay doesn’t start until you get into the building. The project manager makes sure of that. You must pay close attention to your pay checks because they are always wrong. Since the payroll isn’t automated, mistakes occur constantly.

Pros

Lots of learning experiences Lots of room for growth Teaches you the industry

Cons

Upper management, have seen employees threaten to get sued by the owner for trying to quit Increase in responsibility does not mean increase in pay Extremely toxic work environment, get told you aren't a good worker if you don't arrive early and leave late, but you don't get paid extra. No reimbursement for driving hours to job sites every day, lots of cost in gas and car upkeep that you will need to cover out of pocket
