Pros

The company is a well known brand, with over 100 years in the industry. Most colleagues are friendly

Cons

Low Pay, often disguised in contracts in a vague manner. Training is swim or drown with little empathy or encouragement. No wonder the turnover rate is so high. Salaried employees are expecting to work a 9 and a half hours because somehow lunch is not included in your hours. Depending on your department do not expect growth. Rampant culture of never missing work, extra hours and ridicule for anyattempt at life/work balance. Benefits are costly and grossly inadequate. The people are kind but the atmosphere is toxic beyond the control of upper management. To summerise, work yourself into the ground, expect no reward, perks for the number of high profile clients like Disney etc are garbage.

Pros

Deluxe has two nice office spaces and options for working remote if you are not near one of the offices. People at Deluxe are very friendly and upper management will happily greet you when you bump into them around the office. Deluxe is also very diverse and welcoming to all kinds of people.

Cons

Over the last year, Deluxe has had three large rounds of lay offs. I have also witnessed key roles getting eliminated and senior management directing those that are left to pick up the slack without any expectations of replacing the role or increasing the salaries of those remaining. There were also no merit increases nor promotion opportunities during 2025. Lastly, Deluxe often hires people into contractor roles and contractors do not get any PTO nor benefits.
