Pros

Deel is a fully remote, truly international company. I love being able to connect with colleagues from all around the world, and have the flexibility to work from anywhere. People are friendly and smart, everyone is open to feedback, and we are all aligned with the mission to help companies hire anyone, anywhere. Leaders are truly passionate about what they do and it shows in the work quality they create and teams they build. We grew fast as a company and now are working to build the infrastructure of a 'big company' but we have all the pieces and teams in place, so we will get there at Deel Speed! Good pay, good equity, good people

Cons

With a global company, some days you may start work early, and others you may work later. Since it's a remote role however, you can take the time you need during the day to get personal things done, to make up for those early mornings! We're a Slack heavy culture, so waking up to a ton of slack messages can be overwhelming - but with a good organization system, you can work around this. We move fast, or at 'Deel Speed' as we say! We are here to build for our clients and truly achieve our mission and this pace may not be for everyone.

Thank you for your review and for the contributions you have made as an Employee Experience Manager. We truly believe in supporting and driving a global economy and love having a global team spread all over the world. I agree, you can truly see and feel the passion that our leadership team has for our company mission while empowering our team members. Good shout on being slack heavy for our communication. This can be overwhelming and a challenging adjustment, but we truly believe in fast, direct communication through slack to help drive deel speed and direct feedback. Although it can be an adjustment, we also have resources on how to best organize Slack, best practices, and tips to succeed using Slack. We encourage our team members to leverage our internal resources as well as Slack resources to help with efficiency and daily Slack use to make this more manageable for all team members. Deel speed is exciting, motivating, and helps us provide fast, quality solutions for our customers, and to your point - this is challenging and may not be for everyone. Which is why we are so transparent about this value of the company and what this means for all of our global roles.

Pros

- Fully remote - Mostly nice and talented people, you can learn a bunch and the atmosphere is good in the beginning - Once you realize you're not ever getting a raise you can get by doing bare minimum - You can write the ceo on slack and he will respond, which is actually insane considering its such a huge company

Cons

- Everyone is underpaid, even the senior directors. They present employee equity as extra compensation, but make it very difficult to sell shares at secondaries. - Raise/promotion policies are set up in a way where most ppl will never get it. I've seen superstar employees get 2% annual raise. The rest got 1%. - Pay is localized, so you can do the same exact job but get pay half of the compensation if you're not based in the US. - It's either employee contract for less money, and you have some employee rights given to you by your country, or more money but you're getting misclassified on a b2b contract and using vaction days when you get sick. The actual work requirements and responsibilities are the same in both cases. - If you're not drinking the koolaid you better fall in line and keep any opinions challenging the status quo to yourself - Manager can get pretty manipulative, they'll say anything to appease you, but will not act in your interest unless it aligns with their internal politics play
