Decathlonians I met anywhere are energetic, helpful and you will meet lots of sports lover there Overall company culture is great, encourage people to learn from mistakes (depends on your team leader style ofcourse but overall it’s sth they would like to promote), also gave opportunities to staff to explore wt they like Perks: staff discount, wfh during covid, sometimes little Happy Friday treat before off-work on Friday
Cons
Had been there for few years since its existence in HK. I could only say theres no formal SOP for everything. It’s changing all the time and top mgt would only say we need to be agile and adaptive to change. I could see it brought lots of confusion to people there as even teams tried to collaborate, everything could be changed in just 1 night because of the mgt thoughtless decision. Teams spent lots of effort in adjusting everything just to meet mgt fantasy and mgt would rarely consult people before they make decisions. They gave lots of privilege to non local too in terms of salary, title and opportunities etc. If you are local you can only be a Manager at most even they claim they are performance-based. Had seen many locals work hard OT a lot with great outputs but could not get what they deserve just because they dont do shoe-shining as often as the non local. Some non French mgt even learnt French just to please the mgt for promotion
