Usually there is much overtime available. If you are willing to put in the time, you can make a good amount of money, relative to the cost of living in the area. For every 1040 hours you work(without missing any work), you earn a perfect attendance award, which is a day off without pay, to be taken any time you want. Cons
Depending on your job classification, you may get mandated to work overtime. Employees are sometimes mandated to work 12 hour days and/or weekends. It can get very hot inside the plant. Depending on the job, you may get very dirty. The union spends some of your dues money on politicians.
