Pros

The vast majority of the staff were great to work with and the flexi-time was nice.

Cons

- On my last day I was shouted and sworn at by the CEO when presenting my completed work, he had done this to others prior to this. - Refused to allow wfh (this may have changed since the pandemic). - Had my hours watched and recorded by my manager, I was the only person this was done for. I always did my contracted hours and often did unpaid overtime. - Every decision made was by group committee, even when those involved weren't employed in those areas. - Felt very micro managing and often over ruled when decision making. - Pay is very low in comparison. - Extremely slow moving. - Overall a toxic environment I wouldn't return to.

I'm quite surprised at the feedback above, and very saddened if it's attributed correctly and I hope not. There are several Datapath companies out there (unfortunately). Very few things in the above feedback is representative of the feedback given in our internal anonymous staff surveys and is contrary to what we want the culture to be at Datapath. The advantage of being a small company is the speed with which we can decide and act, and I firmly believe we are. This also necessitates that we trust our staff members individually and in teams to work towards common goals and objectives with a great deal of autonomy, and that is what we do. We operate a flexitime system which is generally highly appreciated, and with few exceptions it works with limited formality, and with a considerable trust in our staff members. It’s our ambition to make the most of every staff members’ talents and capabilities, and the further and faster they can develop, the better for Datapath. Nevertheless on very rare occasions we have to part way with staff member where the skills and capabilities does not match the requirements of the business, we have a formal and thorough performance management process in place to provide safeguards for the staff member to ensure fair and proper treatment of every step of the process. Every staff member contributes to Datapath’s success, and we appreciate those effort, and whenever possible I’ve made it a priority to find the time and space whenever someone have left the business to offer my thanks and appreciation. No, we don’t swear nor shout at staff members.

Pros

One’s contributions and opinions are valid and listened to. There is ample time provided for new employees to catch up and be trained on the product. Never received a complain from any of the managerial body about requesting further training on the product line or clarification on the use of our tools/processes necessary to do the job. Opportunity to take up on important projects and contribute in a significant manner.

Cons

Although the company is growing the pace is not exactly fast so one should come in with an open mind and patience for the right opportunity.

Thanks for the feedback, it's appreciated in all forms. We're really trying to improve, management, process, products, for a better business. Without listening to our staff we cannot do so.
