Pros

Nice office in a good location. Commendable teamwork. Friendly and supportive coworkers and ability to be exposed wit some big clients.

Cons

I was lucky enough to land a very good position in the company. However, the majority of my experience could be lumped into the dreaded bucket. I was abused, overworked, and underpaid. I was essentially doing the work equivalent to two full-time employees. Management was also a control freak and would micromanagement the employees like crazy.

Pros

One of the things I appreciate is the firm's client-first approach. The focus is on building long-term relationships and helping clients make the right decisions. This keeps me motivated and productive even during the busiest seasons. Also, the team is collaborative – most of my coworkers are always up for sharing ideas and knowledge. Another thing I'd note is that the leadership communicates openly about business goals and possible changes.

Cons

It’s a highly regulated industry, with lots of requirements and strict guidelines. Other than that, I don’t see any major cons here.

Pros

If I had to say something positive... the paycheck came on time.

Cons

The main problem was that expectations were never clear – like, you'd think you understood what was needed and then two weeks later everything shifted, which honestly gets old. Nobody sat down and said 'here's what success looks like' – you just kind of guessed, and most of the time you guessed wrong. Priorities changed constantly, and not in a way that felt strategic or necessary, it felt more like people were making were making it up as they went along. I'd finish something I thought was important only to find out it wasn't the right thing to focus on anymore. The goalpost just keep moving, after a while you stop trying to hit a target you can't even see. There was no real feedback loop, no clear communication from leadership about what was actually needed, just constant low-level anxiety that I wasn't doing the right thing.
