Pros

Mostly awesome coworkers and customers

Cons

Have to wear new stock, as soon as the stock you've bought for your uniform goes on sale, you can no longer wear it on shift. If you're not management you have to earn credits for uniforms and if you don't earn enough, you have to pay out of pocket. Dodgy practices, timesheets get adjusted so they can pay you less for the time you've worked, availability not adhered to on a regular basis. Hours vary a lot, not much financial stability. If you have a complaint, upper management acts like they're going to do something about it but then never do, even if followed up on multiple times. New staff regularly get thrown into opening/ closing with barely any training.

Pros

- discount on clothes - occasional good KPI goals - Chill a lot of the time

Cons

- only allowed to wear dangerfield clothes at work. there needs to be at least one other item of the clothing you are wearing in the store, or you are not allowed to wear it anymore (so that if someone says "hey cute top" you can lead them to it and try and make a sale). This means that staff are often having to spend their own money on current clothing - waaay too much stock. have fun pulling any item off the rails (spoiler, you can't! how fun) - the goal is to make money out of people at all times no matter what. felt kinda predatory. if you have ever had a lovely interaction with a staff member, i guarantee you that 90% of it was faked because we are trained to hype you up so that you tap your card - quality went way down. yes, some of the prints are australian artist's prints, but almost everything is of poor quality and is made in china or thailand. most of the accessories can be found on drop shipping websites such as temu or aliexpress. products are not ethically sourced at all.
