Pros

- Helpful and very knowledgeable teammates who can help you grow, especially as an intern - Company has a positive and feel-good mission in the field of genomics - Founder/CEO seems knowledgeable and has a vision for growth - Your contribution is valued, even as an intern, and feedback is given when taking the initiative to ask for it - Freedom to take charge on how tasks are completed with minimal micromanagement - Pay is in line with the matrix average (assuming standard work hours) - Good culture such as an optional (and virtual) team game every week

Cons

- Startup has the usual growing pains of an expanding company. Sometimes teams get reshuffled or have members working on differing priorities. Flexibility working on differing projects at once is a good trait to have. - Some processes and writing are not well defined yet. However, there is discussion happening around this and there is opportunity to give input/feedback.

Pros

DNAstack is an amazing company to work for. The team is full of brilliant people, and the company has a very open and inclusive culture. There's plenty of opportunities to grow within the company, and you're always given the freedom to try different things to both make the company better, and grow professionally and personally as an individual. The vision of the company, and the CEO is very inspiring, and given how much potential the company has and the trajectory it's on, it's an exciting place to work at and it's a place where your work will help make the world a better place in the very near future.

Cons

As a start-up on a high growth trajectory, there are multiple projects to work on, and while I personally think that it's a positive thing, it can be a challenge initially if you're not used to managing multiple priorities.
