Pros
Opportunity - DISH is more open to hiring people moving from out of the area or people with less experience than would be ideal as long as the candidate seems promising. Once you're an employee, there's a lot of opportunity for promotion and movement to other areas of the business.
Cons
The benefits aren't good. Pay can be low. The biggest con I've seen across the company is that you need to be liked to get promoted. I have seen some really good employees and managers stall out because they won't "play the game", and I've seen some mediocre people get promoted because they'll suck up. The company often acts too quickly when they need to take their time and takes too long when they need to move quicker. Some business decisions should be taken slower, and hiring needs to go quicker. There isn't much flexibility, depending on the team, with working from home.
