Pros

Dish looks to promote from within first...how else do you explain a VP who started as a Technician, not to mention countless Managers across the country who started as Technicians. The company continues to change and in doing so, offers endless opportunities for employees to grow professionally through paid training from technical training to leadership development classes...not to mention the tuition reimbursement offered for external classes. It's a metric-driven organization which makes it easy to know where you stand; leaves little room for ambiguity. Managers at every level are always pushing you to be your best and do more than you thought you were capable of.

Cons

If you are lazy, just want to punch a clock, or expect the world to come to you you will fail at Dish. You will work hard and long hours...the rewards though are worth it!

Pros

Work from home is the only pro I can think of

Cons

They don’t provide any equipment aside from the computer itself. They mislead you during the interview and job description. You are paid according to price of product sold and close rate however it’s all inbound calls and you can not call back. The inbound calls are lousy, people who don’t even have a $1 on a card in order to do the eligibility check, or no card at all.. poor credit which leads to higher out of pocket costs. I think only a handful of times I couldn’t overcome the spousal objection or the just shopping objection. Those I will take responsibility for but if I’m getting calls from people who don’t have a card or don’t have a $ or don’t have the money to put down OR already have an account or is a mis-transfer or were passed along because the technicians have to make referrals even though the customer isn’t actually interested in the product yet the tech makes them still call.. that’s crap and it’s not real sales.
