Pros

Great colleagues, stable product with world-wide market penetration, and the profit sharing for professionals can be sizable.

Cons

The management team has no clue on how to development people. Mentoring by managers ranges from mediocre to awful. Many managers have no clue as to the meaning of leadership. While they are generally good business or product managers, many managers would struggle to lead a Boy Scout troop. Cummins' philosophy is to hire people, wait for a while, and then periodically lay off 20% of their workforce. Once laid off from Cummins as a professional, you can never return. While this philosophy works great for the HR department (it keeps them really busy), it is a drain on company resources.

Pros

Work from home, flexibility, paternal leave policy, pension plan

Cons

Pay is low and has not kept up with inflation. Leadership is only DEI hires, and they do not seem to understand the actual work being done. They are making life miserable for employees by adding unnecessary KPI's and performance tracking to make a name for themselves within the senior leadership. No loyalty for employees, they will let you go in the blink of an eye if the business struggles.
