Pros

The people - everyone I've ever come across here is always willing to help with my inquiries Location - the proximity to Minneapolis proper and all the lively nature that Minnesota has to offer is pretty unbeatable, and if you live in the city you rarely hit traffic to and from Provides opportunities for paid community service Cummins is a hire-to-develop company - if you intern with them they already have a vested interest in keeping you Diverse workforce - it's pleasing to work for a company that values diversity and embraces inclusion

Cons

This entire industry (power generation) is in a slump for at least the next year Compensation could definitely be more competitive Work team morale seems to be down amidst relatively consistent lay off periods Facilities for engineers receive much less attention than they do for finance/business/marketing people

Pros

Work from home, flexibility, paternal leave policy, pension plan

Cons

Pay is low and has not kept up with inflation. Leadership is only DEI hires, and they do not seem to understand the actual work being done. They are making life miserable for employees by adding unnecessary KPI's and performance tracking to make a name for themselves within the senior leadership. No loyalty for employees, they will let you go in the blink of an eye if the business struggles.
