Benefits were great. My team was very supportive, and we all pitched in to get the job done.
Cons
The department lead was outright aggressive and regularly used intimidation tactics. Team was made to feel inadequate whenever they raised concerns, and was told they were the problem since no one else had any problems. This made the work environment extremely toxic and stressful. Communication was a huge problem. The leader often spoke in a way that was impossible for most of the team to understand, as they came from a non-professional services background. This created a lot of confusion and frustration. There was a severe lack of support and guidance, with no real effort to foster team development or address issues. Instead of promoting a collaborative culture, the atmosphere was one of fear and uncertainty.
