Pros

This is a good, scrappy, diverse team on a focused and valuable product mission rooted in empathy for practitioners. Working with the latest AI tools in a space where it's appropriate, ethical, and adds real value. Lots of trust and autonomy to get things done in the way that makes sense. CEO is a down-to-earth and humane leader, while also extremely driven.

Cons

Hard work. Challenging competitive space. Typical early startup struggles around direction, process maturity, etc. Not compromising on hiring standards means we struggle to hire quickly enough to keep up with workload. Comp is decent but not top-end.

Pros

the product is incredible and we're winning some big customers. The CEO is an expert in this space and we've raised money from top tier VCs. Recent leadership hires seem promising. Pay is good. Company is fully remote which is good and bad. We use AI internally in everything we do and we're encouraged to experiment. The healthcare benefits are good.

Cons

Not much to complain about. the pace can be overwhelming and often communication lags how fast we are moving. The company hired some people from big companies that didn't have any startup experience and some of them have left. Priorities shift quickly, somewhat expected for our stage and being AI native, but communication could be better. 401k plan is not that great but it's a startup

Pros

There are three reasons to pick a company: market, product, and team. Crogl has all three. Market: The cybersecurity landscape is fundamentally changing. The pace and volume of threats we're seeing today requires new approaches—agentic attacks demand agentic defense. This isn't incremental improvement; it's a necessary evolution in how security operations work, and Crogl is at the forefront of that shift. Product: The autonomous knowledge engine is genuinely differentiated. What sets it apart is that it's customer-managed, which means data sovereignty, privacy, and security remain in the customer's control. In an era where trust is everything, this approach matters deeply and resonates with enterprise buyers. Team: This is a team of missionaries, not mercenaries. Everyone here deeply understands the problem we're solving and is genuinely aligned on the mission. The culture has a real bias toward action, which is rare and incredibly energizing. What's even more impressive is that we've built this culture as a fully remote company—something that's notoriously difficult to do well, but the team has nailed it. As the first product hire, I've had tremendous autonomy while also benefiting from strong support and alignment across the organization. Everyone here wants everyone else to succeed, and you feel that in every interaction.

Cons

The market is moving faster than we've ever seen before, which means the pace can be intense. There are competitors in the space with significantly more resources, so we have to be smart, scrappy, and focused. Also, we're fully remote—if you prefer working in person every day, this isn't for you (although we do travel and get together for events and off-sites).
