Great job for introverts - Scribe/Transcriptionist Copytalk Business Services Employee Review

Pros

I like that I didn't have to talk to anyone. Most days I didn't have to speak a word. The job is kind of fun. You get to see how fast and accurately you type. I made a game out of it to try to do better every day. My supervisors were really helpful. If I ever had a question, I would send them a message. They were always quick to respond and friendly. They were always willing to help.

Cons

While you are signed in, you are constantly working. Some jobs aren't that strict about constantly doing work while on the clock, but that isn't the case here. If you are signed in, you are either typing or reviewing something that you typed. It can be a bit intimidating at first. There is a learning curve. I wouldn't worry if you are having trouble at first. It takes some time to adjust, and then you should keep improving over time.

Pros

I worked remote like most people at the company so there's advantages to that. You set your own hours more or less and the schedule is really flexible. There were multiple times where I had to and was able to make a schedule change right before I was meant to work, if we weren't that busy. Had kind and personable management. It's easy work as long as you have a good WPM. I stayed as a scribe and never really sought out any opportunities but there are some advancement opportunities and bonuses you could earn. The company gives you equipment and replaces it as needed.

Cons

The first few months I worked there were pretty busy, but work has dwindled down quite a bit even as we go into what used to be busy months. You have to be really good at the job in order to get more hours. Having to use a PC and monitor is kind of inconvenient if you don't have a lot of desk space in your home but it's nice that they provide you with equipment.
