Pros
Individual contributor level people are competent, hardworking people who just want to do their jobs. Many people have lots of experience and are always happy to help. Work-life balance was good, being able to leave for an appointment for a couple hours with only a heads up to a manager is nice.
Cons
Very top down structure. Management communicates poorly and insists on change for the sake of change. Individual contributors are treated like pawns expected to follow directions blindly. Everyone below manager or director is only told the bare minimum or drip fed information last minute. Any sort of creativity or innovation is shut down if its not in the master plan that comes from above.
