Pros

This was the best job I ever had. I am very sad that my position was eliminated. Great work-life balance with a fully remote environment. I had extremely supportive teammates who were willing to answer questions and share knowledge. I love the repetitive, detail-oriented work that allowed me to become efficient and confident in my role. I had great opportunities to specialize in Charge Review while working independently. I had minimal verbal interaction with and a clear sense of purpose by helping prevent missed hospital revenue.

Cons

For some, career growth at this organization and advancement opportunities can be limited depending on the client and department. If you seek consistent learning, the work could’ve become repetitive, which may not appeal to everyone. Job stability for all positions may be affected by client contracts and outsourcing decisions as my position has been eliminated. Cross-training opportunities into other Revenue Cycle areas may be limited.

Pros

Remote Flex hours Smart staff

Cons

Lots of knowledge but limited to people who have been there for years and isnt shared or documented for the benefit of others or for the company. This causes massive overlaps, confusion and rework. Integrations are unorganized, rushed, and inevitably fail. Toxic leadership and culture are also present with very little actual support and growth offered. Accountability is lacking for many in leadership roles and staff suffers the consequences. Losing long-time, tenured staff is ongoing for these reasons. Top leaders are out of touch with staff and actual needs. Low pay and minimal annual increases...less than 2% many times. Benefit package is expensive and not competitive with the market. Recruiting is nonexistent and impossible to get through unless you know someone.
