Pros

The teams are second to none. Incredibly smart people who care about what they do. We collaborate really well while working fully remote and I enjoy everyone thoroughly! Fully remote option is great and they are very flexible with appointments, carving comp time when it’s desperately needed (not sure about other teams), and overall understanding of burnout being a very real thing. Company will reimburse classes that can be related back to improving your career path here at Comtech, which is amazing. Lots of growth opportunities if you make yourself known and really go for it!

Cons

Compared to other friends in the industry with similar experience I’m pretty underpaid. My raise this year was less than 1k, which is pathetic when considering our high stress workload, short staffed teams, overall expectations, and inflation. There is no salary transparency encouraged. Expensive healthcare benefits and no competitive wellness benefits It’s easy to get lost under the workload. Getting ahead here really takes active effort and passion! (not entirely a con because getting ahead and learning a lot is very possible if you try). Sink or swim big time! Teams are extremely short staffed and upper management allows a few bad apples to count as headcount and justify not hiring more, but actively watch them skimp on obligations and disrespect hard work of higher productivity members. Slap in the face for how hard we work and how seriously we take our jobs. While management of my team cares deeply and tries to make us feel heard. I know that upper management could care less and our concerns get squashed before they make it to the people who can actually make changes.

Pros

Most of the people are good to work with

Cons

They expect you to save money, but they pay for executive level people to travel to Chandler site when a video conference would suffice.
