I worked there three months and didn't help a single customer. They had this idea that you can never get the answer wrong in front of the client, thus I never got to help a client. This is the farthest thing from the truth, if you don't know the answer you tell the client you will find the answer. They really picked on me here and I have never experienced this, even in trades jobs as a teen. They told me (two weeks in) after three months if I didn't figure it out I was gone!! The last straw was when I was working on something and I got it right but had asked a small unrelated question to one of the jerks there and he told my manager that my first correct ticket he helped me with. So they held a meeting with me just to tell me that I didn't really do that on my own. I was shocked as I had never exp this attitude when being trained.
Anyway, it really hurt my self esteem for few years after working here. They tried to figure out this but I ended up quitting because I really felt attacked on anything I did. Took me awhile before I felt confident again. My next job I was working IT helpdesk. I had the highest stats on calls closed, positive surveys from clients and this was from my first month. So looking back they were just so backwards and I was too young to see the issue and tell them.
Four years later I now do IT project management for the health authorities. So what was wrong with me? To heck with this company!
